Power Up to Read
Reading is awesome, and C2E2 wants to empower students in the Chicago area to read! As a way to incentivize students to crack open a comic book or graphic novel and get reading, several local schools will be joining forces with us in a new program called Power Up To Read, which will give students the chance to read and earn free badge to C2E2. Excelsior!
C2E2 has provided Power Up To Read worksheets to several participating schools, for their students. The rules are simple – students must read 10 books, comic books, or graphic novels from their participating school library from now until March 28, 2025 and complete the provided worksheet with the details. Once the student completes their worksheet, they can turn in the completed sheet to their designated Power Up To Read Representative (a librarian or teacher from their school) to receive a promo code which can be redeemed by a parent or guardian and are valid for a free 3-day badge.

Great job reading! You’re on your way to C2E2 2025! Now you need to ask a parent or guardian to enter the promo code you were provided during checked at C2E225.com/badges.
I am a parent and I received the promo code. How do I use them?
You will enter the coupon code at C2E225.com/badges. The code goes into the box labeled called “Have a coupon? Enter coupon code here” on page 2 of the checkout process. Make sure you have added in the appropriate badge type to your cart in order to activate your coupon code. The student promo code is valid for 1 free 3-day badge. Additional full price kids badges and general admission badges can also be added into your order as well. Please make sure you enter the promo code at checkout and that the appropriate badge type is in your cart. FYI: The code does NOT go into the “Have an access code?” box on page 1.
I am a librarian, teacher, or student who wants to get my school involved in the program!

- NOTE: All minors attending C2E2 must be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian!
- “Power Up to Read” is only open to students whose schools are already involved in the program. Students participate by checking out and reading 10 books, comic books, or graphic novels out of their participating school library; completing the “Power Up to Read” worksheet, and submitting the completed worksheet to their school librarian before March 28, 2025. You must be between the ages of 6 and 18 and a legal resident of the United States of America to participate. Students age 19 and older are not eligible to participate. Family and household members of employees of RELX Inc. (and each of its parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, and advertising or promotional agencies) are not eligible to participate. “Power Up to Read” is void where prohibited and subject to all federal, state and local laws.
- Eligible students aged 12 and under who turn in their completed worksheet to their “Power Up to Read” representative shall receive a Student Code for one free 3-day kids badge to C2E2 2025. Eligible students aged 13 and older who turn in their completed worksheet to their “Power Up to Read” representative shall receive a Student Code for one free 3-day badge to C2E2 2025. If at any time Reed Exhibitions discovers that a student is not eligible to participate for any reason, then, in its sole discretion, Reed Exhibitions may void any provided Codes or void any badges purchased with any provided Codes.
- Limit one Student Code per eligible student. The completion of multiple worksheets by an eligible student does not entitle them to additional Student Codes or C2E2 badges. Student Codes are not transferrable and cannot be substituted. Except for those eligible students who are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is greater) all Codes must be used by a parent or legal guardian of the eligible student who has completed the worksheet. All Codes are available while supplies last. All submitted worksheets become the property of Reed Exhibitions and will not be acknowledged or returned. Reed Exhibitions is not responsible for lost, misdirected, illegible or late worksheets. If any Codes are awarded, but not redeemed, those Codes shall be deemed forfeit and no substitution will be made. Codes do not include any travel expenses or personal expenses and individuals redeeming Codes are responsible for any and all taxes on the Codes. (Consult a tax professional to determine tax liability. Reed Exhibitions is not allowed to give tax advice!)
